Student Health

- Offers general medical care, nutritional counseling, laboratory services, immunization and allergy clinics, sexual health counseling, and a variety of other services
- Offers STI testing, physical exams, testing and treatment of sexually transmitted infections, contraceptive counseling, menstrual disorder treatment, HIV testing, HPV and flu vaccines, pregnancy detection, and birth control and pregnancy counseling.

- Helps students focus on their individual wellness by looking at the integration of many areas of their life, including financial, social, spiritual, intellectual, mind-body well-being, and the environment around them.

- Directs students, faculty, staff, parents, and others to the resources available to help a student in need.

- Builds an inclusive campus climate for students, staff, faculty, and alumni with marginalized sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions through education, advocacy, support, mentoring, academic engagement, and providing space.
- Discussion groups include the Asexuality Discussion Group, First Year Kickstart, Man to Man (gay, bisexual, and pansexual men, people who are masculine of center who love men), Queer People of Color (QPOC), Spectrum Discussion Group (gender non-conforming), and Women Loving Women (lesbian, bisexual, and pansexual folks who are femme of center who love women).

- Offers gender violence prevention and intervention services and education, hosts discussion sessions for people of all genders, provides media and resources about gender and sex, and is a safe space for all Duke students.

- Manages a gynecology and family planning clinic in Duke South (accessible by walking through the Davidson building)
- Manages the Center for Child and Adolescent Gender Care, which provides services for youth whose gender identity do not align with their sex and/or gender assigned at birth
- Located in Clinic 1J of Duke South Clinic behind Davidson adjacent to West
- Provides family planning, contraceptive, and abortion services on Duke’s campus, well beyond the services offered at Student Health
- Offers contraceptive counseling and treatment, including pills, patches, rings, implants, injections and IUDs
- Offers both medication and surgical abortions in line with North Carolina state restrictions
- Has competitive pricing plans for young patients (and additional discounted packages for those under 19) and accepts Duke StudentBlue Insurance, which covers abortion up to 16 weeks into pregnancy
