IS PASH A SEX STORE?
No! The purpose of PASH is to openly talk about sexual health among students at Duke and an integral part of sexual health is sexual pleasure. So while we do have a range of examples of sexual health products, some of which can be used for purposes of sexual pleasure enhancement, we do not sell them. However, we can provide you with links and information on how to order them yourself. Also, the main point of our center is to offer peer education on a variety of different topics related to sexual health, one of which is pleasure.
IS PASH FOCUSED ON HETEROSEXUAL/HOMOSEXUAL COUPLES?
Nope! We welcome all genders and sexualities and our products are not tailored to on any one type of sexual relationship. We offer resources and products that will be useful for anyone and everyone! The student staff are also trained by the Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity to use gender inclusive language and are knowledgeable on different genders and sexualities.
HOW IS PASH DIFFERENT FROM CENTERS ON CAMPUS SUCH AS THE WOMEN'S CENTER, THE CENTER FOR SEXUAL AND GENDER DIVERSITY, OR STUDENT HEALTH?
Although we partner with and receive training from the Women's Center, the CSGD, Wellness Center, the Title IX office, CAPS, and Student Health, our primary focus as a center is on sexual health regardless of gender or sexuality. We also are entirely student run, which we hope allows for a more comfortable environment for students to discuss sexual health with their peers. And, we provide after hours services when these major centers are closed. That said, we will, however, refer students out to these centers since we have formed relationships with them and will be able to connect students with staff on campus that are doing amazing work regarding sexual health.
